I love to do a year review every December.
It’s a great time to look over your year, seeing what you’ve achieved, what you want to hold onto and what you want to let go of to make way for the new!
I always find it gives me a great boost to look at everything that’s happened.
Take fifteen minutes to yourself; light a candle and write down everything you’ve gone through and achieved. I use my phone and go through the pictures I’ve taken.
As human beings we’re always striving for more. It’s funny really, it never stops, and we tend to get blind to it. Once you’ve got the dream partner or a career going, you’re onto the next thing. It’s important to slow down and reflect.
This year has been massive for me, now I’ve done my review I really see that this year was all about my new foundations. It’s a one year in numerology-so this totally fits. We’re putting down roots which will serve us for the next nine-year cycle.
As 2017 ends I’m so grateful, I got engaged too and married the man of my dreams. We’ve made a commitment to be together forever and that I don’t take lightly.
We’ve had some bumps in our three years together; Did he want more children? (he has two beautiful girls 19 and 17) For a while he wasn’t sure, I felt like that was always in my path. Who knows what the future will bring but hopefully we’ll be blessed with a happy, healthy child.
Deep down I know that whatever life throws at us we’ll make it. Having that special person in your life is such a blessing.
We moved into our dream house this Summer and the work here has only just begun.
Over the coming year we plan to develop the barn in the garden and turn it into serviced accommodation. We live very close to Goodwood so the demand is high, especially over race season. We plan to make ourselves sustainable, not only financially, but also grow our own food in our acre plot.
A lot has been achieved this year and I honour what’s happened and know that my soul has planned it all this way. I tend to be very impatient always putting a lot of pressure on myself do more, so looking back is a great way to see how far I’ve come.
Here are my 2017 highlights;
January, I went to Iceland to complete my year’s planning. The snow Mobility over a glacier was incredible.
March, we found our dream house and our offer was accepted.
April launched Kitty Talks. We’ve had 10,000 downloads to date in 64 countries.
May, family holiday to NYC with Matt’s girls. It was a trip of a lifetime; business class and five ? Shop Shop Shop!
May, the Network was formed with a peer group for Transformational Leader’s. Matt and I got engaged.
June, we went to Greece for a holiday.
September, we moved into our dream house, touch and go along the way with a chain of four nearly breaking right at the end.
Late September we got married with our nearest and dearest.
October, we went to Italy on Honeymoon and I felt like a film star.
November and December, I’ve been feeling restless, I know I’m being called to the next level and something is being birthed I’m
just not quite sure what yet…
So, take this last month of the year to review and reflect and see how far you’ve come. I bet it is further than you thought!
